Experience
Before training as a Costs Lawyer, Rebecca read Law at the University of Glamorgan, graduating in 2000. She has been employed in the cost industry ever since representing primarily Claimant but also Defendant interests. Rebecca has dealt with the preparation of Bills of Costs in a wide variety of areas, most recently to include phased Bills and utilising the new Bill format in this regard. Rebecca has a sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and has experience of preparation of Bills in extremely high costs matters and also budgets alike.
Rebecca has extensive experience in handling matters from initial instructions to costs settlement including enforcement where costs are not received and also enjoys preparing Points of Dispute and Replies and negotiating matters to settlement with her instructing Solicitor.
Most recently Rebecca has been involved in the preparation of large clinical negligence and personal injury cases. She also enjoys the experience of undertaking preparation of claims for costs for both public funded and Court of Protection work and has experience in both preparing and negotiating costs budgets.
Rebecca is highly regarded and a capable professional and a wide and varied caseload is a testament to her expertise.
