Paul has more than 10 years experience dealing with Legal Costs, both in-house (having previously worked for a firm of solicitors ranked No. 1 in the Legal 500 for Personal Injury) and for independent costs drafting firms. He is experienced in dealing with high value catastrophic injury and clinical negligence claims involving complex issues. Paul prides himself on his meticulous approach, and the quality and cogency of advice provided on an issue by issue basis during negotiations. He was involved in a notable case, attending at Detailed Assessment before Master Gordon-Saker justifying a bill of costs drawn at circa £243,000, which, it was successfully argued, was proportionate notwithstanding that quantum in the original claim was only £12,000.

Away from the office Paul is a keen football fan, enthusiastic music and record collector, and enjoys spending time at home with his wife and young son.
